I’ve finally had the time to work on the video archive. Starting with a couple of video clips from “NCIS” and the two first episodes of “Trauma” can be found over here. Also, a couple of radio interviews Scottie did back in October last year is also up at the site. Enjoy!
Screencaptures from Scottie’s small cameo in the latest “Star Trek” movie (out on dvd & blu ray now!) can be found over at the gallery. She appeared in “flashbacks” playing Nero’s (Eric Bana) wife.
Here’s a couple of more texts by Scottie from last week:
“Don’t try and do the right thing because there is no right thing, there’s just the right thing for you,” says Scottie Thompson.
A serious ballerina throughout her youth in Virginia, Scottie went on to attend Harvard University where she graduated with a degree in Performance Studies and Literature. She remains a voracious reader of novels, and travels frequently to faraway countries you’ve never heard of in search of adventure.
After a number of high-profile guest roles on shows like “NCIS” and “Ugly Betty,” Scottie finally landed a major network series role as Diana Van Dine on NBC’s new action-drama “Trauma.” Yet she still laughs at practically anything, and would rather talk about the Murakami novel then the Emmys.
ACTOR2WATCH: So what was your first real break as an actor?
SCOTTIE THOMPSON: My role in “Brotherhood.” It was a series on Showtime and it was my first professional audition ever. I didn’t know what a pilot was, and Philip Noyce was directing it and I didn’t know who he was or Jason Isaacs, the lead actor. I had no idea what any of it was, and I went in for a day player and ended up with a completely different role that recurred for a few episodes.
I’ve started re-adding some of the missing content in gallery, starting with Scottie’s first four episodes on “NCIS” back in 2006 (yes, it’s been 3 years since she made her first appearance on the show!).
Fulle Circle Production did an interview with Scottie back in October. It’s definitely worth a read!
A Conversation with Scottie Thompson
If you have yet to hear the name “Scottie Thompson”, don’t fret, because you will very soon. She is one of the loveliest young talents emerging in show business today- she’s already worked with director J.J. Abrams on the new Star Trek film, and has appeared in television series such as Ugly Betty, Shark, Law & Order, to a recurring role on NCIS, and her newest series Trauma.
Scottie was kind enough to talk with me about her career, life, and inspirations for becoming an actress- and also shares some interesting behind the scenes stories on recent projects, and how she went from being in the Harvard Ballet to being beamed up into the Star Trek universe.
Not much of Scottie in last nights episode of “Trauma” but still a good episode. Screencaps has been added to the gallery and can be viewed here. No official confirmation yet on when “Trauma” will return, but it will probably be after the Winter Olympics.
Thanks to the people over at Girl2Watch.com for letting me know they’ve named Scottie this weeks “Girl to Watch”: “Beautiful, funny, successful, and she went to Harvard? Life is so unfair. Meet this week’s G2W Scottie Thompson”.
Head over to their site for some new photos, trivia and interviews.
Last episode before the winter hiatus. Don’t miss!!
